Rostock, a small city located in the north, is Germany’s largest Baltic port. It is home to 200,000 people and to one of the oldest Universities in the world, Rostock University, which was founded in 1412.
Rostock is a small, quiet city that is very beautiful and clean. It doesn’t take long to explore and you only need a day or two to see the city and the surrounding beaches. Roughly a two-hour-bus from both Hamburg and Berlin, Rostock is easily accessible and I would definitely recommend visiting if you need a break from the non-stop action of those two cities!
